Cancellations & Reschedule Policies
If there is anything that you need help with in regrads to the class please call us we are more then willing to work with everybody.
PAYMENT IS DUE UPON REGISTRATION
Payment is due at time of registration. There is one exception if you registered on American Heart website you will have 24 hours to make payment. Payment can be made at www.cprsafetytraining.com
Returned checks $25.00 fee.
Card replacement fee 20.00.
To be clear, student transfers and student rescheduling are more cost-effective than canceling a class altogether. If you choose to cancel rather than reschedule, you must make your request via email.
To keep cancellations to a minimum, you must cancel 7 business days prior to start date of the class. You will be refunded the cost of the class minus a $20.00 administration fee. There are no refunds after the 7 day cut off.
If you reserved a seat by charge card or through PayPal and you do not cancel 7 days in advance the full course fee will be charged to your card NO EXCEPTIONS.
After that time, unless you choose to reschedule or transfer your registration (see above), your entire payment will be forfeited. Please note, there are no exceptions to the refund policy. (For those people who are interested in the rationale behind our cancellation fees, click here.)
ATTENDANCE & PUNCTUALITY
Plan on arriving to class a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the start of class. Attendance for the entire class is mandatory for certification.
Students arriving late for class will be considered a "no show" for the class. There are no exceptions if you arrive to class late. There will be no refunds if you arrive to class late. It is up to the instructor if they choose to let you reschedule to another class with or without a fee.
Dress comfortably for class.
A minimum of a 6 students must be registered to hold the class. We register students from many different websites. Canceling a class due to not having enough student is very RARE but occasinal it does happen. If the minimum is not met, the class may be rescheduled to another date. If you can not attend the new calss date then we will refunfd the full price of the class.
WEATHER RELATED CANCELLATIONS
It is RARE that classes are cancelled due to weather, however, if the need arises someone from CPR Safety Training will contact you with details. If you think a class is canceled please call before assuming that the class is canceled it is very rare to cancel a class due to weather.
At any time up to 48 hours before a class begins, you may make a request via email to reschedule to a later class. To keep rescheduling to a minimum, this request requires that you pay:
- no fee if notice is sent 7 or more calendar days before the scheduled class; or
- a 25% fee if notice is sent 5 to 6 calendar days before the scheduled class; or
- a 50% fee if notice is sent 4 calendar days before the scheduled class; or
- a 75% fee if notice is sent 3 calendar days to 48 hours before the scheduled class.
If you reschedule you will have 2 months from the original date to take the class. If you do not take the class within two months you will not be able to take the class. You would then need to reregister for a new class date and pay for the class again.
If you reserved a seat by charge card or through PayPal and you do not cancel 7 days in advance the full course fee will be charged to your card NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are rescheduling a new link will be emailed to you to pay the rescheduling fee.
We do allow for some exceptions but they are on a case by case bases. Please contact us either by email or by calling.
When you sign up and pay for a class, you are registering for one of a limited number of spaces in that class. Once we commit to providing you with that training, that space cannot be sold to anyone else. If you do not show up, it’s simply too late to offer that space to someone else. So, in order to keep no-shows to a minimum, if you do not show up for your class, your registration fee will be forfeited altogether. There are no exceptions to this policy. If you would like to still attend a class we do offer a on time $25.00 fee to let you schedule a ne class date but is for some reason you do not show up for that class you will forfit the original class fee and the reshedual fee!
Registering for Incorrect Class
There are detailed descriptions of our classes on this website. In addition to that, we are available via telephone and email to give you advice as to which class is the most appropriate for your needs. If you ask, we will assist you in making those choices. Beyond that, it is your responsibility to sign up for the correct class to meet your employment/academic requirements. Thus, all of the policies above and below still apply if you sign up for the wrong class. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Although extremely rare, it is possible that a class could cancel. This could be due to too few students registering, illness/injury of the instructor, dangerous weather conditions, etc. If this were to happen, we will do our utmost to notify you in advance so that you don’t make a trip needlessly. That is one of the main reasons that we ask for your email address, as well as more than one phone number, when you register for a class.
If, by chance, the class you register for cancels, these will be your options:
- transfer your registration to the next available class date; or
- receive a 100% refund if you are unable to wait for the next available class.
Registration & Payment
Your class registration is not considered to be complete until payment-in-full is received. The fastest and easiest way to make your payment is through PayPal, using either a PayPal account or a major credit card. It is also possible to pay with check or cash, as long it is handled well in advance and the class has not filled up by the time the payment arrives. All electronic payments must be received within one hour of submitting your registration information. If payment (either online or by check/cash) is received after the class fills, you will be notified. If this happens, you will have your choice of applying the payment to next available class or receiving a full refund.
If you do not bring a book to class we will have books available to purchase at the class; American Heart requires every student to have a book before, during, and after the class. If you do have the book, you will have the option to buy it at the class. No student will be allowed to attend the class without the book according to American Heart's Policy.
Recertification students will be required to show proof that they have successfully completed that particular American Heart Association within the past two years.
To allow students to perform all of the training skills on the floor and avoid embarrassment, please choose clothing that is both non-restrictive and non-revealing.
PayPal is the best way to make payment! You do not need a PayPal account to make payment.
